Buddy Program
One of the highlights of the St. Michael’s student experience is our buddy program, which aims to bring students together across grade levels. Students in Toddler through 2nd grade are "little buddies" and students in 3rd grade through 8th grade are “big buddies.”
The older students serve as role models to and leaders of our youngest students. Classes are paired in a way that if a student starts at St. Michael's in Toddler and stays through second grade, they may have the same buddy throughout those years. Once students get to 3rd grade, they transition from being the little buddy to stepping into the service role of big buddy.
Buddy classes meet for activities such as buddy pumpkin hunts in the fall, read-aloud stories, playtime, craft and service activities, and even sit together at all-school meetings.
