Sailing

Taking full advantage of being situated in Newport and our prime location for sailing, fourth grade students participate in the Fall Sailing program in collaboration with Sail Newport.

Twice a week for six weeks, students spend the afternoon at Sail Newport learning how to sail J22s and studying Newport Harbor. This is a student favorite and gives them an opportunity to blend academics and sport. While some students have experience sailing, for others, this is their first venture onto a boat and out on the water. Students rise to the occasion, taking on leadership roles to help their peers and working as a team to sail around the harbor.
