History

Teachers at St. Michael’s strive to bring history to life by making it interesting and relevant.

Students learn about the people, events, and issues that have shaped our world through class discussions, activities, projects, and writing. Together, they grow to appreciate and practice tolerance for the cultural, religious, racial, gender, and socioeconomic diversity found in our modern world.

Along the way, students develop skills needed to become responsible, conscientious and knowledgeable young historians. These skills include effective writing, public speaking, debating, analytical thinking, creative thinking, reading, note-taking, research, and study strategies.
